03 Aug BUILD ON ROCK, NOT SAND!
My dog Lexi does an excellent job of keeping bad guys out of my house. I’m 100% sure bad guys aren’t getting in because Lexi hates intruders and cares deeply about the people she protects. However, there are concerns I need to consider that could be more dangerous than bad guys. These issues pull people down. But when we identify them, we can often find a way to address them. This list includes loneliness, jealousy, self-doubt, fear of failure, and many others.
I’ve seen firsthand how even the greatest athletes can be paralyzed by doubt—not just on the court, but in every aspect of life. But here’s the truth: it doesn’t have to be that way. The key to overcoming doubt and unlocking true potential is learning to build unshakable confidence from what truly matters. We often know where our confidence should come from; the challenge is having the discipline to believe in it when doubt creeps in. That discipline is rooted in a firm belief that we must put in the effort consistently to stay on the right path. Remember, even the best athletes face doubts, but their success lies in doing the work—training their minds and spirits—to stay committed or to quickly get back on track after setbacks. You have that power too. With intention and perseverance, you can silence doubt and achieve greatness.
