Alignment

Alignment

Out of high school, Max had no scholarship offers and walked on at Western Kentucky, where he saw no action as a freshman. During his sophomore season, he recorded just one tackle. With limited opportunities, Max transferred to Wofford, worked relentlessly, and the rest is history. Yesterday, Max signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL.

Max’s story is far from over. In many ways, it is just beginning. But there is already much we can learn from it:

#1 Be in the business of believing in people. Don’t judge someone only by where they are today; instead, see them for where they could be if everything breaks right.

#2 Set a goal and pursue it fully. Life is short, so never sell yourself short by failing to dream big.

#3 Get in alignment. Alignment is when your actions are in line with your goals.  For example, if you want to feel rested on Wednesday, do what it takes to get eight hours of sleep on Monday and Tuesday. When we do what we value and are aligned, we’re more likely to pursue dreams that matter.
